It’s been four months since a house helper in Toril, Davao City went missing, but police still has no clear leads of her whereabouts.
Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon said on Wednesday that the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Saldua is continue searching for the alleged missing house helper, 21-year-old Justine Mae Saldua.
“Naningkamot pa gihapon ang SITG nga makita ang house helper through investigation. Nangalap na ug information sa mga kaila sa house helper, kung naa ba silay mahatag na information sa amga kapulisan pero so far wala pa silay nahatag,” Tuazon said during the AFP PNP Press Corps media briefing at the Royal Mandaya Hotel on Wednesday.
Saldua, who worked as a house helper in the household of Police Major Michael Uyanguren, was reportedly missing since August 29, 2023.
It can recalled that the issue came out after Saldua’s parents, Jimmy and Maria Lourdes Saldua, brought the matter to public attention via Senator Raffy Tulfo’s program “Wanted sa Radyo” aired on September 28, 2023.
Uyanguren was relieved from his post and is now under the custody of the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11).
