The Davao City Tourism Association (DATA) is introducing a privilege card to help and promote its member establishments.
The Madayaw DATA Privilege Card, which features DATA members, aims to promote the tourism industry and encourage member engagement.
For the price of P350, cardholder will have an access to a 10 percent discount on all 30 member establishments comprised of hotels, spas, travel and tours, events, food and beverage, restaurants, and resorts.
“This is for our members and we want to be able to promote them. It’s like having our DATA member crawl. Our DATA members can support our members by going to these establishments and getting special discounts. If you can have it stamped in all establishments and complete the entire card you are qualified to join a raffle draw,” said Nicole Bian-Ledesma, president of DATA in an interview.
She added that through this endeavor, DATA will be able to promote and patronize its “KaDATAs” through the provision of special discounts when availing of their respective offerings.
Among member establishments are Annipie, Bec and Geris, Marina Tuna, Habi at Kape, Rekado, Café Sola, Luxebridge Sans, My Hotel, Rogen Inn, Bioskin, Elysia Wellness Spa, Thai Boran Massage, Kathryn Fanlo, and Villa Amparo.
The card can be used until the end of March 2024.
Ms. Ledesma said DATA is targeting DATA members as a market for the card.
“DATA members supporting DATA members. Hopefully, next, we will have more partners and hopefully, the market will really accept this DATA card, and then more importantly we really get to promote our DATA members and the tourism industry as a whole,” Ms. Ledesma said.
She added that DATA is also looking at selling the card to tourists.
“At first tayo muna, yung local, ang magsupport. Later on, we also want to market this to tourists to help the industry,” she said.
Ms. Ledesma said DATA is eyeing also to create the said card in digital format and increase the number of partner brands.
