The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) reported that devotees of the Shrine of the Holy Infant of Prague adhered to protocols implemented during the the 56th anniversary of the Feast of Sto. Niño on Monday.
Based on the initial assessment and monitoring of DCPO, the activity, which was still ongoing past 6 p.m, it was generally peaceful with no untoward incidents reported.
“Churchgoers are observing the protocols, adhering to the guidelines for the smooth flow of the activity,” DCPO said in a statement.
A “one-entrance, one-exit” policy was implemented during the activity wherein devotees will only use the MacArthur highway (Matina Gallera) in going up to the chapel and will exit in the Diversion Road.
Attendees followed the do’s and don’ts implemented such as bringing of sharp objects, non-transparent water bottles, backpacks, and the wearing of jackets.
As of 5 p.m. the Talomo Police Station reported that around 11,000 devotees visited the Shrine of the Holy Infant Jesus of Prague.
