Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte is looking at long-term efforts to help fire victims in Davao City return to their normal lives.
Three separate fire incidents happened in Davao City recently and left over 500 victims homeless.
The Bureau of Fire Protection-Davao reported that at least 300 houses were gutted by fire on December 27 in Barangay Leon Garcia, 17 in San Francisco De Asis Village in Barangay 74-A Matina Crossing on December 31, and three houses and one commercial building in Purok 33, Ramon Magsaysay, Calinan on January 1, 2024.
Rep. Pulong has extended food packs, cash assistance, and a special New Year’s eve celebration through the Pulong Pulong ni Pulong (PPP) program.
Through his office’s funds, his team also distributed P1,000 to P5,000 in financial assistance to almost 50 families in Matina Crossing who were victims of the recent fire. The beneficiaries include homeowners, sharers, renters, boarders, and caretakers.
Rep. Pulong assured that through PPP, he will continuously send out support to the barangays.
