Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte assured that Pulong Pulong ni Pulong (PPP) program will continue extending immediate help to those in need.
“Sa mga nakaraang linggo ay naging laman ng balita ang trahedyang naganap sa Mindanao kung saan ang patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan ay naging sanhi ng landslide sa Davao de Oro at matinding pagbaha maging sa Davao City,” Rep. Pulong said.
The lawmaker said amid these calamities, his office through PPP acted quickly to help the victims by delivering aid to disaster victims, not only in the first district in Davao City but also in other parts of the Davao Region.
He said based on the last data obtained by his office, more than 22,000 families affected by floodings and landslides. All victims were provided assistance through PPP relief operations.
Rep. Pulong also thanked the Davao City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) for distributing nearly 25,000 food packs to the different districts of Davao City devastated by the landslides and floodings.
“Katuwang natin ang aking anak na si Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II sa pamamahagi ng ayuda sa mga Dabawenyo. Namahagi tayo sa bawat pamilyang biktima ng kalamidad ng limang kilong bigas, mga de-lata, tubig, water container at iba pang basic necessities para matulungan silang makatawid sa trahedyang kanilang dinanas,” he said.
Rep. Pulong’s office also delivered more than 8,000 sacks of rice to different municipalities in Davao Region for the victims of disaster.
“Habang may nangangailangan ng tulong, makakaasa ang mga Dabawenyo na tuloy-tuloy ang pagkilos ng Pulong Pulong ni Pulong para damayan ang mga nasalanta at maghatid ng agarang ayuda,” he said.
