Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte sought to address the immediate and longstanding needs of the families affected by calamities in the Davao Region.

Over the past few weeks, the regions of Davao and Caraga experienced heavy floodings and massive landslides due to incessant rains brought about by a series of weather disturbances, which resulted to the death of hundreds of individuals, affected thousands of families and left millions-worth of properties, infrastructures and farm products damaged.

Through the Pulong Pulong ni Pulong (PPP) program, Rep. Pulong’s office conducted relief operations and programs in the neighboring provinces in the two regions to ensure the families affected were provided immediate aid.

The lawmaker has extended assistance to the municipalities of Kapalong, New Corella, Sto. Tomas, Carmen, and Braulio E. Dujali in Davao del Norte; municipalities of Lupon, Cateel, and Tarragona in Davao Oriental; municipalities of Santa Josefa, Veruela, Loreto, and Bunawan in Agusan del Sur. These municipalities were among the most badly hit by the recent trough of a low-pressure area (LPA).

Meanwhile, on February 14, 2024, Rodrigo “Rigo” II, representing his father, Rep. Pulong, spent the Valentine’s Day spreading love to his father’s constituents in the First District of Davao City by distributing assistance to the residents affected by floods and landslides caused by the trough of LPA. As of Tuesday, the office of Rep. Pulong has already assisted more than 22,000 families in the first district alone.
