Major Mark Anthony Tito, spokesperson of the Division Public Affairs Office (DPAO) of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division (10th ID), vowed that the military will continue to fight to protect the people and uphold the sovereignty following Armed Forces of the Philippine’s (AFP’s) high trust rating in the recent OCTA survey.
The OCTA Research reported that AFP garnered a high trust rating in the survey “Tugon ng Masa” conducted December 10 to 14, 2023, and released on March 7, 2024.
“Ang 10th Infantry Division nagapasalamat sa pagsalig sa mga tao sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Rest assured na kaming mga kasundaluhan ipadayon namo ang among mandatu na protektahan ang katawhan ug sovereignty sa atong nasud,” Tito said during the AFP PNP Press Corps media briefing at The Royal Mandaya Hotel on Wednesday.
OCTA reported that 86 percent of adult Filipinos are satisfied with the AFP and its overall accomplishments.
“Dako ni siya ug impact sa moral sa kasundaluhan kay kung dako ang pagsalig sa katawhan ang pagtrabaho nato mas gaan,” Tito said.
Tito called on the army to do their job properly and not waste the people’s trust.
“Among panawagan pud sa kasundaluhan nga magtinarong sa atong serbisyo ug dili sayangan ang pagsalig sa mga katawhan sa atoa,” he said.
Meanwhile, AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. said the AFP’s strong performance in the survey showcases the vital role of Filipino troops in defending the nation.
He also thanked Filipinos for their continued trust in the AFP.
