Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte said that the black propaganda that is coming out against her is the result of the personal and political interests of her opponents.
The vice president said black propaganda is the dirty part of politics and people who dream of seeing her fail in fulfilling her sworn duty to the people and will use it against her.
“Nagiging mas matindi, mapangahas, at desperado na ang mga paninira sa akin ngayon. Bahagi ang mga ito ng isang organisadong demolition job na ang layunin ay sirain ang aking integridad at gumawa ng imahe na ako ay isang mamamatay-tao, na corrupt, abusado, taksil at isang war lord,” Duterte said in a statement.
The vice president cited examples of the attack on confidential funds, the dissemination of the video on Commonwealth traffic, making an issue of establishing security for the office of the Vice President, the coming out of the witness who said she was part of the Davao Death Squad (DDS), in the malicious report about guns, and her relationship to her husband.
Recently, online money scams have also appeared on social media such as scholarship or “pabaon” programs for students.
“Sinisiraan ako para pagdudahan, pahiyain, at panghinaan ng loob. Nais nilang isuko ko ang aking sinumpaang tungkulin na magsilbi sa bayan. Ayaw nilang magtagumpay tayo para sa edukasyon ng mga batang Pilipino at para sa kanilang kinabukasan na nanganganib sa kamay ng korapsyon, kriminalidad, iligal na droga, at terorismo,” Duterte said.
She said, that despite all of these, she is thankful for the continued support and love of the Filipino people and vowed to continue her work for the country.
“Salamat sa inyong patuloy na suporta sa aking mandato na itaguyod ang pag-angat ng antas ng edukasyon ng ating mga kabataan. Salamat po sa inyong mga dasal. Tandaan po natin na ang mga paninirang ito ay nagkukubli ng mga personal at politikal na interes. At ang mga ito ay hindi ninyo interes, hindi interes ng bayan, hindi ito interes ng Pilipinas,” she said.
