Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, son of Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, wished Dabawenyos’ enduring care for the city in his video message for the 87th Araw ng Dabaw celebration.
Rigo, grandson and namesake of former president Rodrigo Duterte, also urged Dabawenyos to support each other.
“Ang atong kanunayong pag pangga sa atong syudad inubanan sa atong pagtinabangay sa matag -usa ug ang hugot na pagtuo sa labawang makagagahum, magpabilin unta nga anaa kanatong tanan sa pagsaulog sa pagkahimugso sa atong mahal na syudad. Kini inyong amigo, si Rodrigo Duterte II kauban si Congressman Pulong Duterte ug ang akong tibuok banay, magtimbaya kaninyo ug maayong Araw ng Dabaw,” he said.
This year’s Araw ng Dabaw carries the theme “Dabawenyo D.C.plinado.”
Rigo has been representing his father in distributing assistance to Dabawenyos affected by calamities.
Recently, Rigo, representing his father, provided relief and financial assistance to 81 families affected by the recent fire in Barangay 34-D on February 29, at the Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Elementary School.
He led the distribution of relief packs, water containers, bottled water, and cash assistance through the Pulong Pulong ni Pulong (PPP) program to 19 house owners, 31 renters, 30 boarders, and a caretaker in the same barangay.
Rigo said he is always grateful to the Dabawenyos for their infinite support to his father and the Duterte family and assured them that his family would continue to provide immediate aid to families affected by calamities and other unfortunate incidents.
