Operatives of Buhangin Police Station led by station commander Major Joenel Pederio are currently conducting hot pursuit operation of the suspect in the killing of two senior citizens who were fatally shot in Barangay Cabantian, Davao City on Saturday evening.
Based on the report of the Buhangin Police Station, the victims were identified as 73-year-old Gaudiosa Abraham Reutotar and 67-year-old Romeo Bagion Lumoha.
Authorities said that according to a witness, she saw Reutotar sitting on a chair along the road while Lumoha was inside their shanty at Block 5 Lot 17, Phase 1, Green Orchard, Barangay Cabantian, Davao City, when a motorcycle-riding suspect arrived and shot the victims multiple times then sped away.
The personnel of Central 911, which responded to the incident, declared the victims dead.
According to the victim’s son, three weeks prior to the crime, the suspect and the victims had a heated argument after the former was reprimanded by the victims for cutting down a coconut tree. The suspect allegedly threatened to kill the victims.
The bodies of the victims were brought to Angel Funeral Homes in Torres St., Davao City subject for autopsy.
