President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. confirmed on Tuesday that Vice President Sara Duterte will not be replaced as Education Secretary.

The President stressed this in an event in Occidental Mindoro amid the call of some lawmakers for the vice president to resign and be replaced as Education Secretary after First Lady Liza Marcos’ branded Duterte “bad shot.”

”Why? I don’t see the reason behind that,” Marcos said.

Marcos said he saw no valid reason to replace Duterte.

”Any of the Cabinet secretaries will be replaced kapag hindi nila ginagawa ‘yung trabaho nila. All the other things are not part of the discussion,” he said.

On Monday, the vice president released a video message addressing the statements of the First Lady against her.

The vice president said that in order to move forward, she will leave it to a private conversation between her and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
