Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa bared on Thursday bared that someone sent him a message from Malacañang that Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy will not be extradited.
“May words from the Malacañang na hindi ka (Quiboloy) naman daw i-extradite kung yan ang kinatakutan mo. No extradition. May nagparating sa akin na words na yan. Hindi ka daw i-extradite. Kung yan ang kinatakutan niya. Galing sa kanila (Malacañang) ang statement. I trust them, kung sinabi nila na hindi i-extradite by all means si Pastor Quiboloy,” dela Rosa told media during the retirement honors for Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) director Brig. Gen. Alden Delvo held at Camp Sgt. Quintin Merecido in Buhangin, Davao City on Thursday afternoon.
It can be recalled that the evangelist claimed everything happening to him at the moment are just a trap for the American authorities to get him and eventually an extraordinary rendition will take place.
Quiboloy said he is preserving himself so as not to fall into the trap allegedly set by the American authorities.
“Whatever the term may be extradition or rendition of what according to Malacanang hindi papayag na dadalhin siya sa Amerika. Kung bailable ang kaso puwede siya magbail. Kung hindi bailable meron namang abogado, kung hindi naman mabigat ang ebidensiya puwede naman ma-grant ang bail kahit na non-bailable offense yan,” dela Rosa said.
This developed after the National Bureau of Investigation-Davao (NBI-Davao) served the warrants of arrest to Quiboloy’s co-accused namely Barangay Tamayong chairman Cresente Canada and four others who surrendered to the NBI-Davao office earlier this month.
This is concerning the warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court branch 12 of Davao City under Judge Dante Baguio against Quiboloy, and five others over child abuse charges.
Also earlier this month officials from the Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms (OSSA) arrived in Davao City to serve the upper chamber’s arrest order against Quiboloy.
Dela Rosa was imploring Quiboloy to surrender.
“Sana mag surrender na si Pastor Quiboloy para matapos na. Naawa din ako sa kanya sige tago ng tago. Harapin na lang niya (kaso) para matapos na,” dela Rosa said.
He also sent a message to Quiboloy who was celebrating his birthday on April 25.
“Happy birthday Pastor wherever you may be. I love you. You are my friend. You are my idol. Happy birthday. At the same time I am imploring you na sana para hindi kana mahirapan diyan sige tago, surrender at harapin mo,” dela Rosa said.
