DCPO denies report of Quiboloy chopper spotted flying over Davao

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Capt. Hazel Tuazon on Wednesday denied reports that a private chopper of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy spotted flying over Davao City five times from May 1 to 14, 2024, from the police tracker team tasked to monitor the properties of the evangelist.

“Walay confirmation ana nga naay aircraft nga nakita coming from the property of Pastor Quiboloy. Based sa information nga gihatag sa station commander sa Sasa Police Station negative walay aircraft dinha na nilupad coming from the property of Pastor Quiboloy,” Tuazon said during the AFP PNP Press Corps media briefing at The Royal Mandaya Hotel.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP)-Davao Air Traffic Control Tower reported that the last time the chopper was seen flying over the city was last week with routes from Hangar to Barangay Tamayong and vice versa.

“Ato nang iklaro nga walay gihatag na report ug wala puy nakita ang tao nga gibutang nato as one of the police tracker team members sa pagmonitor sa sulod sa properties. Dili na confirmed nga naay nilupad,” Tuazon said.

Tuazon also said the police tracker team has no update yet on the whereabouts of Quiboloy.

“Wala pa gyud update ang atong tracker team sa Sasa Police Station ug Calinan Police Station, pero dili lang DCPO ang nangita kay Pastor Quiboloy, naa pay CIDG and NBI, so naningkamot ta nga makita si Pastor Quiboloy,” she said.

A police tracker team comprised of personnel from Sasa Police Station and Calinan Police Station continues its manhunt against Quiboloy.

The special tracker team was formed by the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) last month to capture Quiboloy.

It can be recalled that Quiboloy said he was in hiding for fear of being extradited.
