A government employee and two other individuals were arrested in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday at Banana Street, Ulha Village, Barangay Talomo Proper, Davao City.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by the agents of the Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET) of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 11 (PDEA 11), together with National Bureau of Investigation SEMRO 11.
The subject of the operation, drug den maintainer and a call center agent Juvylyn Valenteros Reyes, was arrested by PDEA agent who acted as poseur-buyer for selling “shabu” weighing more or less one gram worth P10,000.
During the operation, Reyes’ drug den employee, Jeffrey Amoranto, who is also a barangay employee and drug den visitor Christopher Silao, were also arrested.
Siezed during the operation were 15 pieces sachets of shabu weighing more or less 13 grams with estimated value of P88,400, assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust marked money.
Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against them.
Meanwhile, operatives of PDEA 11 recently arrested Amider Villanueva Tanting, tagged No.11 in the regional target listed drug personality in a drug buy-bust operation at Purok Tabing Ilog, Punta Biao, Barangay Cogon, Digos City, Davao del Sur on April 29, 2024.
The suspect will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
