Lawyer Aimee Agbayani, legal affairs division chief of Regional Internal Affairs Service 11 (RIAS 11), disclosed on Wednesday that RIAS has filed two administrative cases against some of the relieved police personnel of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).
Last month, Police Regional Office 11 (PRO) upon the recommendation of the Regional Internal RIAS 11, which was approved by PRO 11 director Brigadier General Aligre Martinez in the exercise of his command prerogative, relieved 35 police personnel of DCPO in relation to the ongoing motu proprio investigation by RIAS 11 on the death of seven individuals during police operations in Davao City from March 23 to 26, 2024.
Agbayani said the two administrative cases were initially filed with the legal affairs division of RIAS 11 and among recommended charges were neglect of duty.
She added that these are common for administrative offenses filed against police operatives during an investigation.
Agbayani said RIAS is currently in the second level of its investigation, which is the pre-charged investigation, in relation to the seven buy bust operations that resulted to the death of seven alleged drug personalities.
