Thirty-six people reportedly died due to the combined effects of the habagat, typhoon Carina and tropical cyclone Butchoy, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported Monday.
The NDRRMC said 14 deaths were validated while the other 22 were up for verification.
Metro Manila reported the most fatalities with 15, followed by Calabarzon with 10.
Zamboanga Peninsula recorded 4 deaths, while the Bangsamoro region and Central Luzon reported 2 deaths each. Ilocos Region, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region logged one fatality each.
Three people remained missing, while 6 were injured, the NDRRMC said.
The weather disturbance affected some 4.5 million people, around 152,800 of whom stayed at evacuation centers.
The NDRRMC said nearly 1,600 houses were damaged.
The bad weather left around P1.6 billion in infrastructure damage and P355.6 million in agricultural damage.
