Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), disclosed on Wednesday that security plans for the upcoming Kadayawan sa Davao Festival which will be held next month are now being prepared.
Tuazon said the security cluster is ready for the two big events and that currently, they are just finalizing the number of police personnel that will be deployed for the two events.
The 39th Kadayawan sa Davao Festival will officially open on August 8 with the Pag-Abli sa 39th Kadayawan at the Kadayawan Village in Magsaysay Park.
“ Ang Davao City Police Office is andam na for the Kadayawan sa Davao Festival kay kada tuig naman gyud ni gina celebrate ang Kadayawan Festival. Ang number of personnel nga i-deploy mao na lang ang ginaplantsa kung pila gyud ang ibutang pero naa natay security plan ani nga ginabuhat. Kailangan ang coordination nato with the local government unit para makahatag ta ug number of personnel na makahatag ug security,” Tuazon said.
Tuazon said before the deployment, DCPO will conduct a send-off ceremony at the DCPO compound.
“Ug naa dinha tanan ang safety and security cluster sa paghatag ug seguridad for Kadayawan Festival. Dili lang ni sa security cluster ang pagbantay sa safety and security apan tanan na sa musalmot sa festival,” she said.
Tuazon said force multipliers are also included to provide free service.
She also urged for the cooperation of the public to make the events successful.
“Kay maging successful ang usa ka activity kung naa ang pagtinabangay sa tanan. Dili lang trabaho sa kapulisan, Task Force Davao ug LGU, so kailangan ang pagtinabangay nato ani,” she said.
