Rep. Pulong delivers immediate aid to Magallanes fire victims

Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte delivered immediate help to the victims of the fire incident in Purok 2, Brgy 2-A, along Magallanes Street, Davao City on Saturday evening.

Represented by his son, Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte III, who led the team of Rep. Pulong in distributing hot meals, water, and food packs to the residents affected by the fire and who are taking shelter at Magallanes Elementary School.

Rigo urged the victims not to hesitate to approach Rep. Pulong’s office if they need help.

Meanwhile, teams from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), City Health Office (CHO), and Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) together with the barangay council and other frontline agencies and other agencies are also attending to the needs of the affected residents.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) reported that based on the initial investigation of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Davao Region (BFP-Davao), the fire started at the house of Charlene Puerto Lopez.

It said that the fire gutted 150 houses and incurred an estimated damage of P2.2 million.

DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon that the fire claimed the lives of two minor persons with disabilities (PWDs).
