Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte thanked the participants of the recently concluded Ironman 70.3 Davao and urged Dabawenyos to continue giving importance to their health by maintaining healthy and active lifestyle.
The mayor also expressed his gratitude to all who took part in the Ironman events including the organizers, security cluster, and the offices of the city government of Davao.
“Daghan salamat sa tanang ni participate sa Ironman events. Salamat sa mga organizers, sa security cluster, sa mga opisina sa LGU ug sa tanang Dabawenyo na nisuporta. Wala tay major incident o casualty. Padayon nato hatagan importansya atong panlawas pinaagi sa healthy ug active lifestyle,” the mayor said.
The mayor said this is a testament to the spirit of cooperation and unity that defines the Dabawenyos.
The city government of Davao in a statement said that under the leadership of Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, Davao City continues to set the standard for excellence not just in governance but in promoting the well-being of every Dabawenyo.
“Together, we are building a Davao City that is not only strong and resilient but also vibrant and thriving,” it said.
The city government of Davao also said that the success of the Ironman event is more than just a milestone, it is a reflection of the city’s collective commitment to a brighter and healthier future for all.
“Let us continue to move forward with this same energy and dedication, knowing that under our current leadership, Davao City is poised for even greater achievements,” it said.
