Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte of the First District of Davao City gave out cash assistance to 230 people who were affected by a fire in two barangays on Thursday.
Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, son of Rep. Pulong, led the handing over of cash assistance to 230 families affected by fire in Brgys 2-A and 28-C.
Among the beneficiaries are 45 house owners, sharers, renters, and boarders in Barangay 28-C and 185 families in Barangay 2-A.
Rigo also assured the victims that the office of Rep. Pulong is always open to assist them.
“We are in continuous coordination with the communities to ensure that all affected families and individuals are provided with necessary assistance,” Rep. Pulong said.
Based on the investigation of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Davao, an overheated cellular phone charger was the cause of the fire in Brgy. 28-C and the damage to property reached P1.35 million while in Brgy. 2-A, the BFP-Davao reported that electrical short circuit was the cause of fire.
