Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte supposed on Sunday that after Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the next target of the Marcos administration will be his father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is the subject of the investigation of the International Criminal Court (ICC) for his drug war.
“Pagsugod nila obssessed man kaayo sila kang Quiboloy. Si PRRD, kanang ICC, ICC nila ipugos na pud na nila. Tanang isyu na ilang ginahimuan ug narrative na bisan wala naman gyud labot akong amahan dinha. Naglingkod ra na sa pagka presidente unya nigawas,” the mayor said during the Episode 10 of Basta Dabawenyo podcast.
Quiboloy is in the custody of the PNP after he surrendered to the military on September 8, 2024.
“Ang tunok man gyud nila akoang amahan. Hangtod sa dili nila ma-pacify or madakpan or matangtang sa scene sa pulitika si PRD, paminaw nila naa sila’y kompetensiya. Pero akong papa retired naman na. Dili naman na puwede mahimong presidente balik. Mao na ilahang i-discredit ang akong amahan pinaagi aning mga narrative nga gina try nila ug connect sa akoang papa para kay ang vice president nato karon akoa man igsoon ma-discredit pud. So gubaon gyud nila ang imahe sa mga tao. Pero ingon ana lang man na ang pulitika puro man na dinautay diha,” Duterte said.
The mayor alleged that the Marcos administration is obsessed with FPRRD instead of managing the country.
“Ang kataw-anan lang ang Malacanang obsessed kaayo ani instead of managing the country, wala ma’y governance that is happening because as far as I know kitang mga taga LGU kita’y nagapadagan sa atong mga syudad. Pero kining tawhana ni nga nakatungtong diha, unsa ma’y gibuhat? Mao ra man na. Sige lang panudlo, sige lang panggukod ug kung kinsa ma’y mabasol niya sa iyahang kakulangan kay nagpataka man gud siya ug istorya gud. Wala pud siya sakto na plataporma. So mao na ang iyahang gibuhat na plataporma nga sad-an ang miagi na administrasyon kay para muhumot siya sa panan-aw sa mga tao,” he said.
The ICC’s probe started in 2016 and was looking into Duterte’s war on drugs.
“Pareha aning ginagukod nila si former president kay tungod naay nangamatay kuno na mga drug lords. Asa man ang mali dinha? How is that a bad thing? Kung nangamatay ang mga drug lords, merese nila. Unya karon gukdon to ninyo ang tawo, who you claimed na resposible for the deaths of drug lords and you want to punish him for that? Because he only wanted to protect the Filipino people? How stupid is this government? In fact we need more people like him (FPRRD),” the mayor said.
The mayor also alleged that the Marcos administration and those who supported him were narcopoliticians.
Meanwhile, the mayor believed that the scenario left by the PNP at the KOJC compound would happen again in the future.
“I suppose. Sa kalalom na ilang gisulod na or boundary pag-abot sa kung asa kutob ang power sa gobyerno or sa pulis, tan-aw nako tuloy-tuloy na gyud ni,” he said.
