As young as he is, Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II is focused on his mission to assist Dabawenyos who are in challenging situation.
Rigo, grandson and namesake of former president Rodrigo Duterte, took time to meet and talk to distressed Dabawenyos about the challenges that they are facing.
One sector that Rigo continues connecting with is the groups of tricycle drivers in different barangays in Davao City. He extends his appreciation to them for their dedication and vital role in supporting their families by giving them assistance and “pahalipay” in recognition of their efforts.
Rigo said he feels joy whenever he assists tricycle drivers and operators in Davao City.
“I feel happy whenever I see their smiles as they receive tokens,” he said.
According to him, it’s about building a relationship with these dedicated people who are essential to the community.
“Every present is a tiny way to show my gratitude for all of their hard work and the services they offer to everyone,” he said.
Rigo, representing his father Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, also visited evacuation centers for several months to assist the victims of fire incidents and disasters in Davao City.
