Vice President Sara Duterte implied on Wednesday that it is a shame that the Philippine National Police (PNP) are unaware of what is currently happening in the country despite having intelligence funds.
This is concerning the claims of the PNP that it has no information on the threat against her life.
Nakakahiya iyan. Huwag sila nagsasalita ng ganyan. Nagpapakita iyan ng incompetence ng Philippine National Police,” the vice president told the media in a live presser at OVP Western Mindanao Satellite Office in Zamboanga City.
The vice president recently warned that she hired someone to kill President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta, and cousin Speaker Martin Romualdez if she is killed.
The National Security Council (NSC) considered her pronouncement a national threat.
However, Duterte added that her security does not matter to the NSC.
“Nag complain ako noon sa media, everything was well documented, nagsabi ang NSC na national security ang threat against the President but apparently they do not consider the threat to the Vice President as anything of a concerned. What of kind country is this? Pagthreat sa kanila national security,” she said.
Meanwhile, the vice president also commented on the plan of the lawmakers of the House of Representatives to impeach her.
“They can always try na mag-impeachment. They can always gumastos at magwaldas ng pera ng gobyerno. If I get impeached that is my end. Tapos,” she said.
Manila Representative Joel Chua, chairperson of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, said House lawmakers are not yet discussing the impeachment of Duterte even after her supposed order to assassinate the President if she is killed.
