National Telecommunications Commission – Davao Region (NTC-Davao) Director Nelson Cañete cautioned the public to be wary of buying lots online.
Cañete said over Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR) on Thursday.
Cañete urged the public to investigate first before conducting the transaction.
“Pag investigate gyud. Kinsa pa ma’y singlon nimo ana?” he said.
He said several people have been scammed for buying raw lots online.
To recall, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has been warning the public against buying lots online, especially raw lots, due to the prevalence of scams.
The DHSUD monitors the online market for raw lots sellers and takes action against illegal transactions.
