Rising pet ownership in Davao City drives homegrown biz to introduce pet care products

The rising pet ownership in Davao City led homegrown manufacturer Rudolph Parcon to introduce pet care products in the city.

Rudolph Parcon, Chief Executive Officer of RB Parcon Agri Industries, the maker of King’s Vitaplus animal feeds and supplements, recently launched its new products for cats and dogs, Kings Vitaplus Pet Care.

“One of the flagship products of Parcon is Kings Vitaplus animal feeds supplements that are currently available in the market. Here comes the new products, actually dugay na ni siya amo lang ginagamit gamit so its time na ipaapod apod na sa merkado. Karon man gud nakita nako na kung mag jogging sa mga parks every morning mas daghan pa man ang iro kaysa sa nag jogging. Ang usa ka tawo usahay tag tulo iyang iro,” Parcon told the media in a press conference.

Parcon said he saw the opportunity in the growing pet ownership and created the basic products such as soap, disinfectant, and odor eliminator that might be pet owner’s partner in taking care of their pets.

Parcon is using organic materials such as madre de cacao in formulating his pet soap bar and shampoo.

“This is the first batch sa atong mga produkto to follow na ang mga vitamins. Akong igarantiya sa inyo na all the products na inyong matestingan sa among kompanya are tested ug akong ikapasalig na safe ang atong produkto,” he said.

Meanwhile, Parcon expressed his support for the call of the city government of Davao urging pet lovers to practice responsible pet ownership.

“Atong alagaan ang atong mga hayop with proper care dili lang katong naandan nato nga ang atong mga iro nagdagan dagan, tadyak tadyakan lang unya pakaunon lang ug momho,” he said.

Ruben Gonzaga, the brand ambassador of King’s Vitaplus Pet Care, said the company will establish a partnership with Bantay Hayop Davao to help the city government of Davao in raising awareness on taking care of pets and practicing responsible pet ownership.

“Mahimo namong partner soon ang Bantay Hayop Davao, which is ang ilahang advocacy is to rescue abused and stray dogs in the city. Kami mutabang sa pag implement sa ilahang advocacy. Ang business naa na but ang heart mismo sa foundation sa kani nga mga products, syempre dapat naa ta’y gitawag na mission. Our vision is to promote this product ipahibalo sa mga katawhan nga kaning produkto para ni sa inyong mga alaga and it is our mission to spread the awareness sa advocacy na mutabang pud ta sa mga hayop,” he said.

The city government of Davao, through the Animal Bite Center of the City Health Office (CHO), is urging all Dabawenyos to be more responsible in looking after their pets including giving dogs and cats anti-rabies vaccinations, microchipping, and castration.
