The City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) has officially released the calendar of activities for the 88th Araw ng Dabaw celebration.
“Join us from March 1-16, 2025 as we celebrate 88 years of our vibrant city. Together, let’s honor our history and embrace a bright future, symbolized by the soaring eagle that represents our boundless potential,” CTOO said in its official Araw ng Dabaw page.
The celebration will kick off on March 1 with the Misa Pasasalamat at the San Pedro Cathedral, followed by the Pasiugdang Pagsaulog at the Rizal Park in the evening.
The City Information Office will hold the Hulagway sa Araw ng Dabaw starting March 1 to 16, while the Araw ng Dabaw Fair will run from March 1 to 31 at the Magsaysay Park.
The RondalSayaw sa Araw ng Dabaw elimination round will be held at the SM City Davao Annex on March 2, while the grand finals will be at the Rizal Park on March 8.
On March 2, 9, 10, 11, and 15, Dabawenyos will witness the Kundiman at Harana sa Araw ng Dabaw in front of City Hall.
From March 3 to 8, Barangays Malabog, Bunawan Proper, Baganihan, Crossing Bayabas, Talomo Proper, and 74-A SIR Phase 1 will be the venues for the Kalingawan sa Distrito, an event that will bring the activities of Araw ng Dabaw closer to Dabawenyos.
The Dabawenyo Ako: Bangkerohan Palengke Walking Tour and Dabawenyo Ako: Davao History will be held on March 6-8, while the Conferment of Datu Bago Awards at the Royal Mandaya Hotel will be on March 7.
The most awaited Mutya ng Dabaw preliminaries will be on March 9 while the Grand Coronation will take place on March 15 at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) Gymnasium.
The Mercado Dabawenyo will also run from March 12 to 16.
Local government employees will also take part in the Araw ng mga Empleyado on March 12 and the Pasidungog: Garbo sa Dabaw on March 13.
A Dabawenyo Ako: Davao History and Dabawenyo Ako: Heritage Walking Tour will be held on March 13-15. From March 13-16, the Araw ng Dabaw Invitational Basketball Tournament will take place.
The Konsierto Dabawenyo is set on March 14 along with the Parada Dabawenyo and Hugyaw Dabaw on March 16.
