Davao City Police Office (DCPO), in coordination with the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11), is offering a P100,000 reward to anyone who can provide credible information leading to the identification and location of each of the five remaining suspects in the broad daylight pawnshop robbery along Ilustre Street in Davao City on Wednesday morning.
DCPO acting City Director Col. Hansel Marantan urged the public to cooperate in bringing the suspects to justice and ensuring the safety of the community.
“If you have any information, report immediately to the nearest police station. Your immediate action can help solve this case and keep Davao City safe. We appreciate your support and vigilance in making our city a safer place for everyone,” Marantan said.
Based on CCTV footage, four suspects carried out the brazen daylight robbery. The DCPO released CCTV screen grab photos of three armed suspects with one carrying a long firearm.
After a hot pursuit operation, authorities were able to arrest one of the suspects at Bankerohan Public Market and recovered bags containing a 9mm handgun, a high-powered rifle, dozens of ammunitions, and some of the pieces of jewelries.
A follow-up operation was conducted to capture the other suspects.
Marantan said the operation is a testament to DCPO’s commitment to protecting the people of Davao City with vigilance, courage, and excellence.
“Let this be a reminder to every officer that our mission does not end with one victory. Criminals do not rest, and neither should our resolve. Stay alert, stay proactive, and always be ready to act,” Marantan said.
Marantan assured the Dabawenyos that the DCPO will continue to uphold peace and order with unwavering dedication.
“And to our personnel—let this success inspire us all to push forward, stand firm against lawlessness, and ensure that our city remains a haven for all,” he said.
