Two Davao Region governors were ranked among the top performers in Mindanao in a recent survey.
Governors Niño Uy of Davao Oriental and Franklin Bautista of Davao Occidental ranked sixth and eighth, respectively, in the survey conducted by the Institute for Global Education Exchange and Internship (IGEEI).
Uy received an 80 percent satisfaction rating for his environmental and disaster resilience efforts, the Davao Oriental provincial government said Tuesday.
“The people of Davao Oriental are blessed to have a leader like Uy,” the provincial government said.
Bautista received a 78 percent satisfaction rating, with strong support from young people.
The survey did not include governors from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, according to IGEEI.
The top-rated governors were Ann Hofer of Zamboanga Sibugay (87 percent), Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu of Sultan Kudarat (86 percent), Peter Unabia of Misamis Oriental (84 percent), and Henry Oaminal of Misamis Occidental (83 percent).
The survey, conducted Jan. 13 to 24, gathered responses from 10,000 people ages 18 to 35 across Mindanao. (PNA)
