Mayor Sebastian “Baste’ Duterte on Friday vowed not to be silenced amid the continuous attack of the Marcos administration on the Duterte family.

On Thursday, an unverified report that the police will conduct a raid on the residence of former President Rodrigo Duterte at Doña Luisa Subdivision in Matina, Davao City, and other residences of the Duterte family members.

“Now, we have verified information that search warrants have been issued targeting the residence of my father, former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, along with the homes of my siblings and myself. This blatant act of intrusion into our private spaces raises serious concerns about the intent behind these actions,” the mayor said.

The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) denied the claim saying the presence of police in the area is to provide security and for police visibility.

“The PNP PRO-11 has denied this, but after their inconsistent statements regarding PRRD’s situation, the public has every right to question the truth. What is their next move? This only adds to the growing concerns about harassment and intimidation,” Duterte said.

Supporters of the Duterte family have been keeping watch on the residence of the Dutertes.

“I see the overwhelming support of the Filipino people rising in defense of FPRRD. I recognize your courage. I thank you, and I draw strength from your unwavering stand. Now more than ever, I will not be silenced. This is not just about the attack against my family—it is about every Filipino who values justice and fairness. This is not just a question of legal procedures—it is a grave matter of upholding the integrity of our institutions and safeguarding our nation’s sovereignty,” the mayor said.

The mayor emphasized what happened to the former president, and how he was taken by the International Criminal Court (ICC) through the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) under the ground command of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director General Nicolas Torre III raises serious concerns about due process and the rule of law.

The mayor added that the lack of transparency and apparent disregard for established legal protocols sets a dangerous precedent.

“If this can be done to a former President of the Republic, what protection is left for ordinary Filipino citizens? Actions like these create fear and uncertainty, shaking the very foundations of justice that the government is supposed to uphold. Our country is going through difficult and uncertain times. The Constitution—our democracy’s foundation—has been put to the test by the very authorities meant to uphold it. Instead of ensuring the protection of the people, power is seemingly being used to silence and intimidate perceived political enemies,” Duterte said.

The mayor underscored that given all that is happening, it is evident that the current situation bears similarities to Martial Law, even without an official declaration.

“That is why I urge every Filipino to remain vigilant. Stay well-informed, know your rights, and be ready to defend them. Now is the time to stand firm, protect one another from any abuse of power, and ensure that no Filipino is left vulnerable in these trying times. We are all doing our best to bring PRRD home—to the country he loves and to the people who have always stood by him,” he said.

The mayor stressed that what’s happening is not just about FPRRD but is about love for the country and standing up for every Filipino who struggles against poverty, injustice, and weak leadership.

“The people’s call for justice and accountability cannot be ignored. Their voices will not be silenced. We will stand together—united, resolute, and unyielding in our pursuit of truth and justice. Tuloy ang laban,” Duterte said.
