Dabawenyos urged to donate blood

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) has called on Dabawenyos to participate in its Mobile Blood Donation Drive at the CDRRMO-911 Compound in SIR New Matina from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 28.

The initiative is a component of the city’s proactive approach to emergency response and catastrophe planning, guaranteeing that blood products are easily accessible for those in need.

By demonstrating Dabawenyos’ combined efforts to create a resilient and responsive city, the project seeks to not only increase the city’s blood supply but also promote a sense of community and solidarity.

Rudy Encabo, assistant department head of CDRRMO, said that all blood donors will undergo health screening to guarantee that their blood is safe for transfusion.

Blood donors are encouraged to prepare before the event, making sure they eat a nutritious meal, have enough sleep, and drink lots of water.

For updates and more information, Dabawenyos are encouraged to follow the official Facebook Page of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. CIO
