Supporters urged to intensify watch on Dutertes’ residences

Duterte supporters are urged to continue guarding the family’s residences in Davao City as unverified reports spread that Major General Nicolas Torre III, director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), is now in the city to lead the alleged house raid anytime while Dabawenyos are busy celebrating the 88th Araw ng Dabaw.

Residences that were allegedly the target of the raid are the houses of Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte in Catigan, Toril; Doña Luisa Subdivision in Matina; and Matina Aplaya; Vice President Sara Duterte’s house in Ecoland Phase 3; former president Rodrigo Duterte’s house at Doña Luisa Subdivision in Matina and the family’s ancestral house in Taal, Bangkal; Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte’s house in Catalunan Grande; and Honeylet Avancena’s, former president’s common-law wife, house at Royal Pines Subdivision in Matina.

On Thursday, thousands of Duterte supporters started to guard the residences owned by the family upon hearing the unverified report that the police would conduct a raid.

Supporters offered a prayer for the safety of the former president and his family and conducted a vigil outside the house at Doña Luisa Subdivision.

Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) denied the claim saying the presence of police in the area is to provide security and for police visibility.
