Vice President Sara Duterte returned to the country on Sunday evening after nearly a month-long stay in The Hague, Netherlands, where she assisted in assembling her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte’s legal team for his case before the International Criminal Court (ICC).

According to the Office of the Vice President (OVP), VP Duterte arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Sunday night via Emirates Airlines flight EK 334, following her trip to The Hague, which began on March 12, 2025.

The OVP added that the vice president is expected to address any pertinent matters in the coming days.

Last week, Duterte revealed that her task in The Hague was complete and that she was ready to return to the Philippines.

Speaking to journalists in The Hague, she stated that she had delivered the necessary document and would return home once her travel arrangements were finalized.

The vice president had been in The Hague since March 12, a day after her father was taken to the Netherlands.

She previously mentioned that she would return home as soon as travel plans for other family members were completed, as they would take turns staying close to the former president while he remains in custody.
