Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Capt. Hazel Tuazon assured on Monday that the DCPO will ensure the Automated Counting Machines (ACMs) deployed at polling centers across Davao City remain secure and in place until the national and local midterm elections on May 12.
Tuazon announced that 534 police personnel will be assigned to secure the 266 polling centers in Davao City, providing round-the-clock security for the schools where ACMs are deployed.
She added that a minimum of two police personnel will be stationed at each polling center with ACMs, ensuring continuous security 24 hours a day until election day.
Tuazon stated that 2,007 DCPO personnel will be deployed to ensure a smooth election period.
On Sunday evening, the Commission on Elections 11 (Comelec 11), together with the security cluster, began delivering ACMs and other election paraphernalia to various schools in the city.
