NABUNTURAN, DAVAO DE ORO — In a night filled with hope and conviction, thousands of residents in Nabunturan showed their unwavering support for Noe “Butchoy” Taojo—an individual who has been serving the people for nearly four decades without ever holding a government position.
Through his personal efforts and resources, Butchoy has helped countless individuals: students who were able to finish school, families who escaped poverty, and communities that received projects that no politician had ever delivered.
This is the kind of leader who stands even without cameras, who helps without conditions.
During the Miting de Avance held on the evening of May 5, the people of Nabunturan came in droves, clapping, raising placards, and expressing their collective hope to finally have a representative in Congress whose service is real, heartfelt, and inclusive.
Supporters echoed a common sentiment: if Butchoy could help so many without holding office, imagine how much more he can do when he is elected as Congressman.
Running under the banner of “Byaheng Kalinaw ug Panaghiusa” (Journey of Peace and Unity), Butchoy stands alongside Congressman Ruwel Peter Gonzaga, who is vying for governor, and Governor Dorothy “Dotdot” M. Gonzaga, who is seeking the vice governorship. Together, they promise a new chapter of leadership built on unity, integrity, and genuine public service.
Also standing with him are Mayor My-My Clarin-Balili and Vice Mayor Debie Tan, known for their active and hands-on approach to governance. Together, they form what supporters call “Noe’s Ark”—a symbol of hope and a journey toward a better future for all Davaoeños.
“A Congress that serves the people, for all people!” declared Butchoy Taojo to the cheering crowd.
This coming election, the people of Davao de Oro are ready. Ready to choose a leader who is sincere, dependable, and grounded in love and service. Their message is clear:
#TheGoodMan deserves a seat in Congress
