Laak Miting de Avance draws massive crowd, showcases unity and genuine public service

Laak, Davao de Oro — Not even the rain could dampen the spirit and energy of the people of Laak as thousands gathered for the grand Miting de Avance, expressing their unwavering support for the #ByahengKalinaw movement—an alliance that champions real service and inclusive leadership.

Led by Team GoGoTa, the rally became a powerful declaration from the people: continue the progress initiated by the Province of Davao de Oro through the #GovernmentWorks program, and usher in a new era of servant-leaders in Laak—leaders who serve without discrimination.

A key highlight of the event was the official endorsement of the Luchay Lim Lao–Christopher “Boyet” Jovita tandem for Mayor and Vice Mayor of Laak.

The endorsement came from no less than Congressman Noe “Butchoy” Taojo, Governor Congressman Ruwel Peter Gonzaga, and Vice Governor Dorothy “Dotdot” M. Gonzaga, and was further backed by former Governor Arturo Uy and Vice Governor Tyron Uy.

The night was not just a political gathering—it was a powerful symbol of unity and a shared vision for a better future. Laakeños stood proud, braving the rain, as they voiced their hope and commitment to leaders who prioritize the people’s welfare above all.

“Unity today is victory tomorrow,” one supporter shouted, waving a sign that read, “BT for Congress, Luchay-Boyet for Laak!”

The people of Laak have spoken—and their message is clear: they are ready for change, and they will lead the way.
