Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) Director Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete announced on Wednesday that a total of 12,168 police personnel will be deployed in various areas in Davao Region to secure the holding of the 2025 local and national midterm elections on May 12, 2025.
Rosete said PNP personnel from PRO 11 will be supported by units from the Special Action Force (SAF) and the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 11 (RHPU 11); 1,557 personnel from the 10th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army; 184 from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG); and 195 from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) with their fire trucks.
Rosete added that as the Philippines prepares for another crucial election, the PNP belonging to multi-agency security forces and Special Electoral Boards (SEB) stands ready to safeguard the democratic process with a deep understanding of the country’s complex history and the importance of fair elections.
“The mission is clear, to ensure that every citizen can exercise their right to vote without fear or intimidation. The PNP personnel will meticulously secure polling places, control access, and prevent any unauthorized entry,” Rosete said in his message during the send-off ceremony for police and other security personnel who will be deployed to help in the 2025 National and Local Elections as SEB members in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) held at PRO 11 Parade Ground, Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City.
Meanwhile, the SEB will be composed of 500 police personnel from PRO 11 and 41 from the Regional Maritime Unit 11.
Rosete emphasized with the foregoing, that PRO 11 is committed to fulfilling the directive of the National Headquarters to ensure the safe and successful conduct of the 2025 elections.
“Furthermore, PRO 11 and its partner agencies are fully prepared to ensure that all voters can cast their votes freely, safely, and without fear,” he said.
