Benjamin “Bong” Duterte, the youngest sibling of former President and Davao City Mayor-elect Rodrigo Duterte, relayed to supporters and media in The Hague, Netherlands, that the former president does not trust President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s offer of reconciliation to the Dutertes.

Marcos recently announced he is open to reconciliation with his political foes particularly the Dutertes.

In the first episode of BBM podcast hosted by broadcaster Anthony Taberna posted on YouTube channel, Marcos revealed he is open to restoring his relationship with the Dutertes.

“Oo. Ako, ayaw ko ng gulo. Gusto ko makasundo sa lahat ng tao. Marami na akong kaaway at hindi ko kailangan ng kaaway. Kailangan ko kaibigan,” Marcos said.

(I already have many enemies and I don’t need enemies. I need friends.)

However, according to Benjamin, the former president was shaking his head upon hearing about it.

“In a way, he doesn’t believe it,” Benjamin said.

Benjamin added that he informed the former president of Vice President Sara Duterte wanting the impeachment to proceed as she wanted a “bloodbath.”

“Ang sabi niya (FPRRD) sinabi ko na yan sa kanila, isog ang bayhana na yan. Basta sinabi lang niya bantay sila kay Sara. Hindi yan mapigilan. Kaya sabi ko lalo na hindi yan mapigilan dahil andito ka sa loob,” Benjamin said.

The vice president stressed last Saturday that whatever the outcome of the trial may be, she will be at peace.

She said her lawyers are in full throttle in terms of preparations for the impeachment.

“But sinabihan ko na rin talaga sila, really, I truly want a trial because I want a bloodbath talaga,” the vice president said.
