The World Travel Expo 2025 was officially opened on Friday highlighting travel discounts, packages, and promotions from travel and tour agencies, hotels, resorts, banks, and travel-related agencies at the activity center of Ayala Malls Abreeza with the ceremonial ribbon cutting led by Department of Tourism 11 (DOT 11) Director Tanya Rabat Tan.
Organized by Ad Asia Event, 26 exhibitors from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with a strong showing from Southern Mindanao, participated this year’s expo.
According to Ad Asia Event, the expo will serve as an interactive space for tourism experts, local government units (LGUs), and travel enthusiasts to engage, cooperate, and reconnect with the excitement brought about by traveling.
In her message, Rabat-Tan said the opening of WTE 2025 ignited the spirit of adventure and exploration to travel.
“Whether you are a seasoned explorer, a passionate globetrotter, or a novice wanderer, this expo suits everyone as it offers a wealth of immersive experiences and inspiration while showcasing breathtaking destinations within and beyond the Philippines,” Rabat-Tan said.
Rabat-Tan emphasized that in today’s world, travel has gone beyond simply discovering new places but has transformed into a journey that shapes everyone’s identity, fosters harmony across diverse communities, and contributes to the inclusive growth and sustainable development of many countries.
She underscored that at present, DOT is seeing a strong resurgence of the travel and tour industry, making the timing of the expo relevant.
“As we are able to connect travelers to the opportunities and exclusive deals from suppliers, all designed to improve and enrich the travel experience,” Rabat-Tan said.
The World Travel Expo 2025 will run until June 1.
