Vice President Sara Duterte labeled on Monday the family of Malacañang Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro and Senatorial aspirant France Castro as “garbage in, garbage out.”
“Lagi kong sinasabi huwag na tayong makinig kay Claire Castro at sa pinsan niya na si France Castro dahil ang kanilang pamilya ay pamilya ng garbage in, garbage out. Basura ang mga lumalabas sa bibig nila,” the vice president told the media during a sortie in Siay, Zamboanga, Sibugay on Monday.
This was Duterte’s response after Castro called her “fake news peddler” following her statement that First Lady Liza Marcos’ name is in the list of people present during the death of a Filipino businessman due to a suspected cocaine overdose in the US.
Castro accused the vice president of spreading fake news about the First Lady and brought up rumors that circulated about the First Lady’s whereabouts in March.
Castro said in a press briefing.
The vice president said it was not her obligation to explain to Castro the meaning of “garbage in, garbage out.”
So basura lagi ang lumalabas sa bibig niya,” Duterte said.
France Castro, meantime, is another staunch critic of the vice president and former President Rodrigo Duterte.
