The Davao City Water District (DCWD) will be bringing back its “Libreng Tubig” promo in time for this year’s Kadayawan sa Davao in August.
The last ‘Libreng Tubig” promo was offered by DCWD on November 9, 2024, in time for the company’s anniversary month.
DCWD spokesperson Jovana Cresta Duhaylungsod said on Wednesday that the Board of Directors and management explained that this offer is a show of gratitude to customers.
She added that this is only applicable to all residential customers with 1/2-inch water meters.
Duhaylungsod added that the upcoming promo will cover the water consumption for the whole month of August 2025 billing.
“Gi-offer nato ni last November 9, 2024 and karong Kadayawan gibalik nato ni nga offer para sa mga customers. But unlike last November, kani atong promo karon will cover the water consumption for the whole month sa inyuhang August 2025 billing and within that promo period kung asa mo na zone na belong naa mo’y isa ka adlaw na libre,” she explained.
Duhaylungsod said that the promo period will depend on which zone the customers belong to because the billing cycle is different per zone and the promo duration varies depending on which zone they belong to.
“Unsaon pagkabalo kung unsa ko na zone? It is the first two digits of your account number,” Duhaylungsod said.
She also said that customers could avail of the promo without needing to sign up or send any messages.
“No need to sign up any form as long as masulod ka sa among criteria: this promo is only for the residential customers with a one-half-inch size water meter, which is the majority of our customers,” Duhaylungsod said.
Duhaylungsod emphasized that the customer’s account must not be delinquent during the August 2025 billing.
She underscored that the promo is only applicable to those accounts that have already satisfied one whole billing cycle, meaning it is not a new service connection.
“Hopefully with this offer matagaan ug dakong tabang ang mabati sa atoang mga customers ang appreciation gikan sa DCWD,” Duhaylungsod said.
