TF Davao, DCPO seize P373-K worth of illegal drugs T

Personnel of Task Force Davao and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) on Saturday morning apprehended a resident of General Santos City for alleged possession of 49 grams of suspected shabu at the Sirawan checkpoint in Barangay Sirawan in Toril, Davao City.

Authorities reported that the suspect, identified as alias “John Michael,” was flagged down while crossing the Davao City border checkpoint onboard a black SUV from General Santos City.

Seized from the suspect were two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 49.83 grams with an estimated street value of P373,725.

The suspect and the seized evidence were turned over to the Toril Police Station for proper disposition.

The suspect will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.

TF Davao Commander Col. Sony Mariñas Jr. commended the relentless efforts of TFD and DCPO personnel for their thorough screening of individuals and vehicles at all of the city’s entry points.

Meanwhile, personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 11 (PDEA 11), in coordination with the PNP Special Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 11 and Ecoland Police Station, dismantled a drug den in Davao City and arrested three drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Kamias Street, Phase 7, Doña Asuncion Village, Pampanga, Davao City on Friday evening.

Confiscated during the operation were four sachets of illegal drugs weighing approximately 11 grams and valued at around P74,800, assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked buy-bust money.

According to PDEA 11, the target of the operation was the alleged maintainer of the drug den identified as alias “Joey,” who was arrested after selling one sachet of suspected illegal drugs worth P8,000 to an undercover agent posing as buyer.

Authorities also apprehended alias “Josephine,” a reported employee of the drug den, and alias “Aeron,” a visitor.

The suspects are facing charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
