The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) reported an analysis of the initial two quarters of Calendar Year 2025, which indicates a downward trend in the incidence of eight prioritized crimes – murder, homicide, rape, physical injury, theft, robbery, carnapping of motor vehicles, and carnapping of motorcycles – within Davao City.
According to the data shared to the media, theft, rape, and physical injury remain the most prevalent crimes for the period.
Based on data, rape cases has dropped significantly by 54% and the Crime Clearance Efficiency (CCE) stays high at 93% while Crime Solution Efficiency (CSE) has slight decrease from 100% to 95.96%.
Meanwhile, from the period of June 29 to July 7, 2025, DCPO carried out 33 anti-illegal drug operations, leading to the arrest of 38 individuals involved in drug-related activities and confiscated from the operations were 55.0302 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P374,205.36 and 1,050.87 grams of marijuana with a standard drug price of P126,104.40.
DCPO reported that it has intensified its anti-gambling efforts that resulted in the apprehension of 18 gamblers in 11 operations, and confiscated P4,865 bet money during the operations.
Moreover, DCPO said there were 11 cases filed against the violators.
DCPO also conducted 47 operations aimed at capturing wanted persons, which resulted in the arrest of 47 individuals, including 19 most wanted persons and 28 others.
DCPO added that in the five operations targeting loose firearms, two individuals were apprehended and three illegal firearms were seized.
Additionally, DCPO said there were two firearms surrendered voluntarily, and three cases were filed in court.
DCPO reiterated that, in general, peace and order in Davao City remain stable, sustained by the continuous efforts of law enforcement to maintain a safe and secure environment for all its people.
Col. Marinao Rodriguez, Officer-in-Charge of DCPO, emphasized these accomplishments highlight the DCPO’s dedication to enforcing the law while respecting human rights and adhering to police operational procedures.
“This reflects the diligent crime prevention and law enforcement efforts of DCPO personnel, making Davao City one of the safest cities in the country,” DCPO said in a statement.
