FPRRD rejects sale of home in Davao City: Rep. Pulong

Former President Rodrigo Duterte rejected any plans to sell his home at Doña Luisa Village in Davao City, according to Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte.

Rep. Duterte said that the former president expressed that the property holds deep sentimental value as it is the first house he purchased with his own money — a personal milestone he is unwilling to part with even while detained at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

“Amo siyang gipangutana kung ibaligya ba daw ang balay — dili gyud daw. Kana iyang balay, mao daw na ang iyang unang balay, ug dili gyud siya gusto nga ibaligya na,” the lawmaker said during an interview with the Alvin & Tourism Facebook Page in his recent visit to his father at the ICC detention center in The Hague, Netherlands.

On Saturday, a “for sale” sign was placed at the gate of the house of the former president and common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña.

Avanceña personally confirmed to DZRH News during an interview on Saturday that the house is for sale, citing emotional and security reasons.

However, on Sunday morning, the “for sale” sign was removed from the property.

Rep. Duterte said his father clarified that Avanceña has her own property.

“Kang Ma’am Honeylet, naa man daw siya’y kaugalingong dako nga balay. Dili kana nga balay iyang ginapuy-an,” Pulong added, further dispelling rumors of any internal family dispute over the property,” he said.

Meanwhile, the former president also clarified that he has no relationship with rumored girlfriends following online speculations about his personal life.

Rep. Duterte directly addressed rumors linking his father to a certain “Ma’am Jazz.”

“Wala man daw siya’y relasyon kay di man daw sila ig-agaw. Sa iyang mga uyab, pangita na lang daw mog laing uyab — kanang daghan daw credit card,” said Rep. Duterte, which drew laughter from supporters present during the live interview.

Rep. Duterte also assured the public that his father remains in good health and high spirits.

“Ok man siya. Karon, tarong iyang… sige’g pakatawa,” he said.

He also conveyed FPRRD’s message to the Filipino people.

“Pasalamat gihapon siya sa inyong suporta. Ayaw na daw siya kaayo problemaha, kay kung mao gyud daw na iyang destiny, mao na gyud daw na,” he said.
