Mati City, Davao Oriental — Senator Bong Go joined his fellow Davao Orientalists in celebrating the 58th Davao Oriental Day, held at the Provincial Capitol Gym in Mati City on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

A proud son of Davao Oriental, Go expressed pride in being part of the colorful and festive occasion alongside his provincemates.
The celebration featured the oath-taking of newly elected provincial officials, including Governor Nelson Dayanghirang, Vice Governor Glenda Rabat-Gayta, members of the Provincial Council, 1st District Congressman Nelson Dayanghirang Jr., and 2nd District Congressman Cheeno Miguel Almario. Local leaders from cities and towns across the province also took their oaths.

Senator Go highlighted the importance of placing the welfare of Filipinos at the center of public service, urging newly sworn officials to honor the trust placed in them by their constituents. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the local officials for their warm welcome and thanked Senator JV Ejercito for his continued support.

Senator Go shared his excitement over the political milestone of his family as his son, Lawrence Go, was recently elected Vice Mayor of their hometown, Lupon. He assured his continued support for the province, committing to projects that strengthen infrastructure, expand healthcare access, and improve the delivery of essential services to local communities.

“As long as it helps uplift the province and bring services closer to the people, I will always be here to help,” Go said.

The celebration reflected the province’s unity, progress, and vibrant culture, as local leaders and residents marked another year of shared accomplishments. (NJB)
