Ambassadors and officials from consulates and foreign embassies are among the attendees to the upcoming 8th Davao Investment Conference (ICON) and 27th Davao Agri Trade Expo (DATE) to be held at SM Lanang Premier’s SMX Convention Center on September 17 to 21,2025.
The events will also bring together leaders, investors, and innovators across the sectors of agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, real estate, and infrastructure.
“Preparations for the DATE and the Davao Icon 2025 are moving forward strongly with both international and local stakeholders coming together to make this year’s event one of the most significant yet,” said Jennifer Dumlao, chairperson of Davao ICON during Wednesdays at Habi at Kape.
Dumlao shared that some of the very special guests expected to attend include ambassadors from Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
She mentioned that the economic commercial officers from the Czech and Canadian embassies will also be joining.
She said that during the events, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCCII), Inc.
Dumlao also said that the officials from the consulates of Malaysia, Japan, China, and Indonesia in Davao are also confirming their attendance for the events.
“One of the highlights of the Davao ICON will be industry tours. The previous ICON we had two routes, but this year we have three routes: one going towards the northern part of Davao City, one going towards the south, and the newest one going towards the west of Davao City, which just shows how fast and widely Davao is growing,” Dumlao said.
Major players including Aboitiz Power, Therma South Inc., Davao Light and Power Company, Apo Agua, Hedcor, First Gen Energy, Monde Nissin, Agri Exim Global Philippines, Perfect Milling, Pilmico, and Cacao Culture, will be participating in the events.
