Grandchildren to visit FPRRD in The Hague next month

It’s the turn of the grandchildren to visit former President Rodrigo Duterte at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands next month, according to Davao City Second District Representative Omar Vincent Duterte.

Duterte told the Davao media that he, his siblings Councilor Rodrigo ‘Rigo” Duterte, Isabelle, and their father, Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, will together fly to the Netherlands to be with their lolo Digong.

“First time namo mu-visit kang lolo, kana medyo emotional gyud na siya na moment sa amoa, pero sige lang, ang amoa lang, please continue praying for Tatay Digong, unta makauli na siya. Kung makita ni niyang video, lo, you are surely missed samot na diri sa Davao, dili lang diri but all over the Philippines,” he said.

Duterte said they will be replacing their aunt, Veronica, who is currently in The Hague, as FPRRD’s next of kin.

“Kami ang mu-swap kay Kitty. Limited days lang pud kay naa pa man mi trabaho. Pero habang naa mi didto suliton gyud namo among time. Samot na kung maka istorya namo si FPRRD and ka bonding pud gamay, kay gimingaw nami sa iyaha,” he added.

It’s been six months since the former leader was arrested and detained at the ICC for alleged crimes against humanity concerning his campaign against illegal drugs during his administration.

Duterte also expressed his gratitude to all the supporters who continue to pray for the release of FPRRD and support for their family.

“Sa tanang Filipino all over the world, daghan kaayong salamat. Actually, kining nahitabo sa among pamilya nakita namo ang inyong suporta until now, mga tinuod gyud mo nga DDS-Die Hard Duterte Supporters. Daghan salamat,” he said.
