Suntrust Properties Inc., a subsidiary of property giant Megaworld Corporation, held a blessing and ceremonial turnover for Tower 2 of One Lakeshore Drive at the Davao Park District in Dacudao Loop, Lanang, Davao City, on Thursday.
Atty. Harrison Paltongan, President of Suntrust Properties Inc., said the blessing signified that unit buyers and owners of Tower 2 may now begin moving in.
“For our unit owners, what you’ve purchased is more than just a unit—it’s a township lifestyle. When you buy a unit, you buy into the entire concept: live, work, play, and shop. Even the hospital is within reach. Everything is walking distance. That’s the value of a township project,” Paltongan said.
He explained that Tower 2 was originally scheduled for turnover in June this year, but the company encountered delays in securing the Certificate of Occupancy.
“We faced challenges obtaining the Certificate of Occupancy from the local government, which has become more stringent following several earthquakes in recent years. Fortunately, we were able to comply with all requirements, though it did cause a delay in our turnover,” he added.
Tower 2 comprises 314 units, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, studio, and executive studio configurations. It also features a range of amenities such as a swimming pool, children’s playground, outdoor fitness station, gym, and function rooms.
Nicknamed the “Kawaguchi Tower,” Tower 2 is one of four residential buildings in Suntrust’s ongoing condominium development.
Earlier this year, in January, Suntrust turned over Tower 1—known as the Como Tower—which consists of 316 units.
Looking ahead, Paltongan shared that Towers 3 and 4 are expected to be turned over by October and December, respectively.
“We’re wrapping up final touches on Tower 3, so we’re targeting turnover by October. As for Tower 4, we’re aiming for a December delivery,” he said.
Located within the 11.2-hectare Davao Park District, One Lakeshore Drive spans a total lot area of 9,505 square meters and offers approximately 1,260 residential units and 54 commercial units.
