The Task Force Davao (TFD) was recently awarded with Recognition for Excellent Performance ICOW during the 19th Founding Anniversary of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division of the Philippine Army held at Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr. in Mawab, Davao de Oro.
TF Davao was commended for its exceptional performance and was lauded with the remark of “Excellent.”
In his message, TFD Commander Col. Rodrigo A. Marinas Jr. expressed heartfelt gratitude to all unit personnel for their unwavering efforts in maintaining peace and security within the city.
“This recognition is not just a reflection of effort, but of heartfelt dedication and the united collaboration of every individual involved in safeguarding Davao City. We aim to carry forward the legacy we’ve built over the past year,” Mariñas said.
Meanwhile, over P13,000 worth of illegal drugs was seized through a joint operation conducted by TFD and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) at the Sirawan entry point in Toril, Davao City, on Thursday.
The operation led to the apprehension of a suspect identified by authorities as alias “Clark,” 36-year-old and a resident of Purok 6, New Visayas, Matanao, Davao del Sur.
TFD reported that at the time of the apprehension, the suspect was onboard a silver Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, traveling from his residence toward Davao City.
During the operation, authorities recovered from the possession of the suspect two pieces of a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing illegal drugs weighing approximately 2 grams with an estimated street value of P13,600 and one piece of illegal drug paraphernalia (pipe).
The suspect, along with the seized evidence, has been turned over to the Toril Police Station for proper disposition and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
