Davao City continues to make strides in good governance and innovation bagging another recognition this time from the Department of the Interior and Local Government 11 (DILG 11) in the Search for Best Practices in Digital Innovations during the 2025 Philippine Local Governance Forum (PLGF) – Mindanao Island Circuit.

Davao City earned multiple distinctions for its groundbreaking digital initiatives, reflecting its commitment to efficient, transparent, and people-centered public service delivery.

The city government of Davao stated that these awards highlight Davao City’s efforts in integrating technology into governance—from improving citizen feedback mechanisms through the Davao City Reports App to enhancing records management and promoting organized, livable urban spaces through the Streetscape Ordinance.

It has also highlighted that the recognition is worth celebrating as a collective achievement of the people of Davao and a testament to their continued pursuit of innovation and excellence in governance.

The DILG 11 praised Davao City for its innovative use of digital tools in local governance, positioning it as a model for other local government units in Mindanao and across the country.
