Vice President Sara Duterte continues to enjoy high approval and trust ratings, according to the latest Pulse Quarterly (PQ3-2025) survey results.
Duterte got the highest approval and trust ratings — 36 percent and 32 percent, respectively — among the top government officials according to the survey.
The survey, conducted nationwide in late September, reflects consistent confidence in the country’s top leaders despite ongoing challenges in governance and disaster response.
Duterte, who has been active in visiting earthquake-hit areas in Davao Oriental and other parts of Mindanao, was cited by respondents for her “visible leadership” and “swift action in times of crisis.”
After visiting earthquake victims in Cebu earlier this week, Duterte continued her relief efforts on Saturday in Davao Oriental, where she met with families affected by the recent series of powerful tremors.
Duterte personally checked on evacuees, assessed their immediate needs, and assured them of the government’s ongoing support for recovery and rehabilitation efforts in the province.
Political observers noted that Duterte’s sustained popularity underscores her continued influence in national affairs and strong grassroots connection, particularly in Mindanao.
The PQ3-2025 results came as the administration faces increasing scrutiny over infrastructure spending, but analysts say the vice president’s independent stance and proactive engagement on the ground have helped reinforce her image as a responsive and decisive leader.
Meanwhile, the survey revealed a notable decline in public sentiment toward Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero and House Speaker Martin Romualdez, following reports linking their offices to alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
